Article Title: PEOs: Recession Proof? - Source: Bradenton Herald - 8/8/2009
Article discusses the business environment for several Florida based PEOs. - “Small business leaders have learned that the best strategy to navigate a turbulent economy is to devote their finite resources to what they do best and outsource the rest,” said Burton M. Goldfield, president and chief executive officer of TriNet. “These products give them a customized HR solution that will boost their productivity and profitability.”

| Recession and PEOs | Staffmarket Administrator | 8/8/2009 11:21:38 AM | Comments as posted on the Bradenton Herald website:
Good article. The government has forced business owners to become the unpaid agents for the laws they have created. Everything from tax collection, to unemployment to immigration enforcement to social policy issues have been put on the backs of employers. Every employer is expected to be an expert on hundreds of rules and regulations and faces stiff fines for not following them. As long as we have government involved with the business of being an employer, there will be a demand for PEOs. Since the current trends in Washington point to increased burdens for employers, we predict that the demand for PEOs will increase. While the economy may be driving down the number of worksite employees covered by many PEOs, most of them are adding new clients to fill the gap. PEOs will be poised for excellent improvement when companies start hiring again. |
